First update since launching. In Scottsdale this month – thank you @willem for some local recs here. Also – thank you to @Torrance for providing the first app rec that I personally checked out myself in Honolulu a couple weeks back – Marugame Udon. Special moment!

📲 Import Reviews from Google

Working hard to make it easy to bring in places you already like on other platforms. With today’s update, you can now import all of your publicly reviewed places from Google Maps to your Roam Club profile. The import will also include any text you wrote in the review. While we can’t support importing places you’ve saved from Google, we’re working on it. 

⌨️ Increase Character Limits from 150 to 500

Got some feedback that the 150 character limit was a bit too constrained. Bumped it up to 500 characters. This one’s for you, @justhersh!

🔎 Search Field Bug

Removing the tap lag from the “Add a rec” search field. Thanks for catching @therealmack

🔔 Notification Bug

When tapping on a ‘New follower’ notification, the new follower profile didn’t appear. Should be working now.

👥 Fixed Contacts Sync

Contacts weren't syncing properly. We fixed this, so granting contacts permissions after this update should show your friends that have granted theirs.

🤳 Make Profile Pictures in Side Panel Tappable

Got feedback that the users own profile photos in the side menu were not tappable.

💅 Website Refresh

Fell out of love with the dark, "techie" design of the old website. Updated to bring in some more visuals, lighten up the aesthetic, and scratch some visual design itches. 

👀 Coming up in the next few updates…

• Ability to bookmark recs within the app for later, without recommending them. Thanks for the idea @adventuremark.

• Bug: Followed accounts reset. If you see me following you over and over in the coming weeks, I apologize. 

• Adding a “followers” tab to all profiles to make it easier for folks to see who follows who.
